Developed in close consultation with industry bodies, the Bachelor of Business (Accounting) at GCA is a professionally accredited program designed to meet the global demand for skilled accounting graduates. This career-focused degree integrates rigorous theoretical foundations with practical learning through business simulations, case studies, and engagement with experienced industry professionals. The program—offered with the option of accelerated completion over two years—provides comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles alongside key business disciplines. UBSS Bachelor of Accounting
The GCA Bachelor of Accounting comprises twenty-four (24) core units, each worth ten (10) credit points, and is structured for completion over a three-year period, with accelerated study options available. The program is designed to provide a comprehensive and integrative understanding of contemporary accounting principles while exploring the discipline’s interconnectedness with key areas of business, including entrepreneurship, management, and financial decision-making.
The program adopts a multidisciplinary approach, offering diverse learning content that supports the development of both technical proficiency and broader business acumen. This structure enables students to engage critically with the evolving role of accounting within modern organisations and global markets.
In addition, the program offers flexible pathway options, including entry and exit points through the Diploma of Business and the Associate Degree in Business, allowing students to tailor their study journey to suit their individual academic and professional objectives.

FEE-HELP (Domestic Students) – GCA is a higher education provider that has been approved to offer FEE-HELP. This allows our students to receive FEE-HELP loan assistance to cover some or all of their tuition fees should they wish to do so. You can apply for FEE-HELP during your application process.
The requirements that must be satisfied in order to study a Bachelor of Accounting with GCA are in place to ensure we can maintain the high quality of education that GCA provides to the aspiring business professionals and entrepreneurs of tomorrow.

GCA recognises formal learning delivered through recognised institutions and organisations, leading to qualifications or certified achievements, including those awarded by recognised higher education providers, accredited vocational education providers, professional bodies or associations or structured workplace training programs leading to recognised qualifications.
Additionally, GCA recognises professional and academic achievements and contributions in professional practice, academic disciplines, and industry leadership, acknowledging expertise developed outside traditional education pathways. This may include leadership roles in a relevant professional field, significant industry experience, and industry-recognised innovations and achievements.
GCA may also grant recognition for non-formal learning or educational activities that occur outside formal qualifications that demonstrate achievements of specific knowledge and skills. This may include structured workplace training, professional development programs, specialised technical training, professional body education programs, or micro-credentials awarded by GCA or selected institutions.

Before submitting your application, please ensure that you have electronic copies of your personal identification documents, academic certificates of completion and academic transcripts. These will all be required to be attached to your online application.
Once you have submitted your application, one of our admissions staff will contact you. If you are successful, you will receive a letter of offer from our admissions team.
If you are outside of Australia and intend to apply for a student visa, you will be required to pay a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) Fee as part of your tuition fees.

The GCA Bachelor of Accounting is professionally accredited and nationally recognised through our partnerships with CPA Australia, the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA), and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ). These accreditations reflect alignment with industry standards and the expectations of leading professional bodies.
Through our extensive network, students have the opportunity to develop meaningful industry connections, acquire practical knowledge, and gain valuable insights from experienced professionals representing prominent national and international organisations in the financial sector.
To be awarded the Bachelor of Accounting, students must successfully complete all 24 units, totalling 240 credit points. This qualification is designed to equip aspiring accountants and financiers.
Eligibility for accreditation with CPA Australia, the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA), and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) is contingent upon the successful completion of all accounting subjects identified by these professional bodies as meeting their required core competencies.
Upon successful completion of all 24 units in the Bachelor of Accounting program at GCA, including the core competencies specified by CPA Australia, graduates will be eligible to apply for Associate Membership with CPA Australia. To attain full membership status, graduates must subsequently complete the CPA Program as required by the professional body.
Students also have the option to exit the program with a lower-level qualification, such as a Diploma or Associate Degree, upon meeting the relevant requirements.
