The Hospitality Management major prepares students for leadership roles in the global hospitality, tourism and events industries. Students develop expertise in hospitality operations, food and beverage management, financial performance, service quality, facilities management and tourism and events systems. The curriculum emphasises applied industry practice, service excellence, sustainability and guest experience management. A dedicated hospitality capstone project enables students to address real-world operational and strategic challenges.
Graduates may pursue careers as hotel supervisors and managers, food and beverage managers, events and conference coordinators, resort operations managers, tourism officers or venue managers. The major also supports career progression within international hotel groups, boutique hospitality enterprises, cruise operations, destination marketing organisations and major event providers. With hospitality being a globally mobile industry, graduates are well positioned for both domestic and international employment opportunities.
The program offers flexible pathway options, including entry and exit points through the Diploma of Business and the Associate Degree in Business, allowing students to tailor their study journey to suit their individual academic and professional objectives.
